For over five years at Cloudflare I documented networking, security, DNS, web and email products, and before that I spent seven years at the tech magazine Exame Informática covering hardware, software and science. I pick up new subjects fast, and the work ranged as widely: API examples tested against live endpoints, troubleshooting rebuilt from support data, information architecture, and most recently AI tooling for research and bulk edits that turned one four-product rename from a 2–3 week estimate into three days.

Professional Experience

Technical Writer — Cloudflare (2021 – July 2026)

Owned documentation for Cloudflare WAN, Magic Transit, Multi-Cloud Networking, Network Flow and Network Interconnect, from technical research and stakeholder collaboration through publishing and long-term maintenance. Earlier covered Cloudflare Network Firewall (then Magic Firewall), 1.1.1.1, the WARP client, Zaraz and Email Routing.
Wrote the hands-on API request examples in the product docs, building each call in Postman and checking it against the live OpenAPI endpoints so developers could copy working requests straight from the page.
Worked through 753 support cases (32% of the area's support volume) to find the main customer pain points, then redesigned the troubleshooting docs around symptom-driven diagnostics.
Designed a connectivity reference comparing 11 enterprise tunnel and connector options; it drew 2,500+ views within weeks and filled a gap stakeholders had been unable to point customers to.
Reorganized and updated 400+ documentation pages to align with the redesigned dashboard information architecture and make products easier to find.
Moved the Magic Transit and Cloudflare WAN docs onto shared MDX partials after the two sets had drifted apart, so common content lives in one place and a single change reaches both products, with variables and conditional blocks for each product's names, dashboard paths and notes.
Renamed four products in 3 days against a 2–3 week estimate, including the one I owned, whose docs ran to 695 files, automating the bulk edits with tooling I built.
Built an 80+ component AI documentation toolkit (slash commands, agents, shared knowledge modules) that cut research from 2–3 days to about an hour and scaffolding from 30 minutes to 5. Several teams adopted the starter kit I packaged from it, and I pitched it to engineering and product leadership.
Automated the team's review triage with a GitHub bot that posted weekly PR-digest cards to Google Chat.

Co-founded Portugal's first NGO supporting male survivors of sexual violence and built its communications function from scratch.

Editor — Exame Informática

Joined as a technology journalist, testing and reviewing hardware and software from CPUs and graphics cards to laptops and smartphones, and writing science news for the website. Later became editor of the how-to section. Also reported for Exame Informática TV on SIC Notícias and wrote for Bit.
